Moving through the static...

Known Frequencies is a lo-fi in-universe zine made for Mothership.  Written from the perspective of a future ham radio society, issue 2 details various transmissions that can be received in space, including a lonely hearts line, a missing child bounty broadcast and the baffled communications of a colonel fighting a war that ended long ago.

This zine contains no mechanics, just 8 pages of pure flavour, with details you can weave into or use to inspire your Mothership adventures.

Issue 2 is part of Outer Rim Uprising,  a bundle for the sci-fi horror roleplaying game Mothership. It’s set at the fringes of the galaxy, where corrupt corps push their tech experiments beyond the limit, xeno horrors lurk, and humans and Androids assemble and organize into factions. The Outer Rim is where the adventure happens!

Issue 1 has its own page.

One of my favorite things to collect for mothership has been the diegetic zines I’ve found that I can use as hooks in themselves that I can somehow weave into weird little tangents for players to go off on.this in particular tickles that part of my mind that used to record fake little radio shows that are lingering somewhere on my hard drive and YouTube somewhere

Amazing. Time to dust off those skills and make some diegetic audio for a group of players!
